austriamicrosystems rebrands to ‘ams’ after restructuration through acquisition of TAOS
The new brand name, ‘ams’, unites austriamicrosystems and the brand and identity of TAOS (Texas Optoelectronic Solutions), a global supplier of intelligent light sensors, acquired in 2011.
ams, headquartered in Unterpremstaetten, Austria, manufactures high performance analog ICs that provides innovative analog solutions to the most challenging applications in sensors and sensor interfaces, power management and wireless. ams’ products are aimed at applications which require high accuracy, wide dynamic range, sensitivity, and immunity to noise or ultra-low power consumption.
The company builds on more than 30 years of operation in analog semiconductors and is responsible for numerous breakthroughs in applications such as magnetic encoders, medical imaging, power management, low-power RF, optical sensing, audio amplification, and battery sensing.
