Automotive-compliant film capacitors for use in rough environments
The new capacitors are suitable for applications in the automotive and industrial sectors. They offer end-to-end EMI and RFI filtering for the increasing number of automotive applications and for on-grid indoor applications such as capacitive power supplies.
The F863 series meets the qualification requirements of AEC-Q200 and is available with capacitance values from 0.1 to 10 F with nominal voltages up to 310 VAC. The fully approved RFI-X2 capacitors offer an operating temperature range of -40 to +110 °C.
The metallized polypropylene film dielectric has excellent self-healing properties. In addition, Kemet’s developers have further improved the main components of this series of capacitors to reduce the traditional capacitance loss mechanisms. The F863 series therefore offers a very stable capacity and at the same time meets the international safety requirements of ENEC, CUL and CQC.
