Avago Technologies applied its optical-device expertise to develop the ACPL-K30T, the first optically-isolated solid-state driver qualified according to AEC-Q100 Grade 1. Designers can use the ACPL-K30T to build solid-state relays that will operate under any conditions encountered “under the hood”. Avago Technologies’ Field Applications Manager Mark Gray describes the key features and the strategic implications of the new device.
