Automotive touch controllers for screens to 17-inch
The ClearPad S788x family of touch controllers detect proximity (hand coming towards the display), and perform while the user is wearing gloves and under moist screen or finger conditions – features critical to variable vehicular climate conditions. The S7884/86 feature Synaptics’ ClearForce pressure sensing technology, detecting variable force to enable touchscreen features specified by OEMs and their Tier 1 suppliers.
The IC family meets ISO 11452 standards for automotive electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), Automotive Electronics Council (AEC-Q100) specifications for use in harsh automotive environments, and are PPAP compliant. Synaptics is QMS certified to ISO 9001 with a TS-16949 compliant supply chain.
