Autosar Adaptive now comes with network binding of DDS standard
Autosar Release 18-10 enables OEMs to implement an Autosar Adaptive Framework with DDS. It helps address numerous security and connectivity issues faced by vehicle OEM software development teams. You can dynamically configure the platform to support the different operating modes and hardware features of each vehicle platform.
In the Autosar Adaptive platform, DDS components are optimized for end-to-end data sharing without the need for custom integration. DDS-based technology eliminates complex integration and security challenges for OEMs because the data-centric interoperable framework supports all major operating systems and processor architectures. In addition to the Autosar specification, automakers can leverage other technologies, including cloud-based and back-end systems, as well as additional components such as MatLab and Simulink, and DSpace, Linux and QNX platforms.

Since 2017, software manufacturer Real-Time Innovations (RTI) has been helping Autosar advance the platform and ensure that the technical requirements for autonomous vehicles are met. To further drive their market acceptance, RTI recently released the latest version of its Connext family: Connext 6 is the first connectivity framework for highly autonomous systems and offers a number of market-leading features for autonomous vehicle development, including effective management of high bandwidth sensor data, easy integration with standardized interfaces, and optimized security.
