The devices are lighter, smaller, lower priced and yet have the same light output as the preceding 860 series.

ICAO recommends the use of Type B: red, steady burn, low intensity lights to highlight obstacles of up to 45m in height.  With a light output of 32 candelas and power consumption of 1.5 to 9W, the Dialight RTO series uses fifth generation LED technology to provide an efficient and low maintenance lighting that is FAA approved and complies with ICAO recommendations.

Sealed to IP66 and designed to eliminate light pollution, the RTO weighs less than 1kg and is available in infrared for night vision compatibility.  All Dialight obstruction lights carry a five-year warranty.

A major advantage is that these universal lights are available as a retrofit option that fits to the base of the superseded 860 series allowing a quick, easy and highly cost-effective upgrade to the latest LED technology.
