AVX receives MIL-PRF-49470 QPL approval for C0G (NP0) SMPS capacitors
With the addition of the approved components, AVX’s offering of temperature stable C0G (NP0) SMPS capacitors on the MIL-PRF-49470 QPL has expanded to include encapsulated and unencapsulated devices in six case sizes (1-6) with voltage ratings spanning 50-500 V.
AVX’s high reliability T-Level C0G (NP0) SMPS capacitors are available in 100 V, 200 V, and 500 V and feature a capacitance range up to 1.8 µF. Standard reliability B-Level C0G (NP0) SMPS capacitors are available in 50 V, 100 V, 200 V, and 500 V and feature a capacitance range up to 2.2 µF. Rated for -55°C to +125°C, both T- and B-Level C0G (NP0) SMPS capacitors are ideal for I/O filtering and bulk storage in a wide range of military, space, harsh environment, and high voltage applications, including: military defense and weapons systems; space and satellite communications; telecom switching, networking, and base stations; DC/DC power converters; high voltage medical electronics and industrial equipment; down hole drilling and oil exploration equipment; and alternative and hybrid energy vehicles.
SpiCalci 8.0 SPICE modeling software, which helps design engineers validate circuits before they are built by allowing them to simulate frequency performance plots and other data for specific AVX components, is available for the full offering of C0G (NP0) SMPS capacitors approved on the MIL-PRF-49470 QPL.
