Backseat infotainment gets DVB-T2 enabled
As an OEM product (as opposed to an aftermarket product), the receiver’s user interface can be seamlessly integrated into the user interface of the car infotainment system.
Depending on customer requirements, Hirschmann’s DVB-T2 receiver supports the video formats MPEG-2, H.264 and HEVC. It can be equipped with up to four antennas for diversity reception. The HD enabled receiver is equipped with a decoder unit that has been designed with the requirements of in-car reception in mind, which guarantees a constantly high sound and image quality even at high speeds. For the highest possible in-car transmission quality, the receiver can be integrated in a MOST environment with MOST and Video-over-MOST support; alternatively it can be equipped an Automotive Ethernet interface.
Other features are backward compatibility to DVB-T, automatic station search in the background, intelligent station tracking, and surround sound.
