Bauer, Russwurm and others named for Osram supervisory board
The first name is no big surprise as it already has been leaked: Peter Bauer, former CEO of chipmaker Infineon will be member of the supervisory board. He likely will be elected to chair the board. Other members will be Siegfried Russwurm, member of the Siemens managing board and professor for mechatronics at the Erlangen-Nuremberg university.
Lothar Frey also comes from the university of Erlangen-Nuremberg where he is chair for Electron Devices, but perhaps he is more known as the top manager of the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology (IISB).
Joachim Faber is member of the German government’s council for sustainable development and chairman of the supervisory board of the German stock exchange. Other members will be Frank H. Lakerveld, currently CEO of technical equipment distributor Sonepar, and Christine Bortenlänger, managing director of Deutsches Aktien Institut.
"We’ve acquired excellent candidates in the areas of lighting, semiconductors, finance and science, who, as Supervisory Board members, will provide OSRAM with expert support and oversight,” commented Joe Kaeser, Chief Financial Officer of Siemens AG and member of the Siemens managing board with special responsibility for Osram.
The Osram listing is scheduled for later this year.
