Rafael Barmak (EPFL) explains why they are trying to sneak robotic devices into beehives
Basically the message is in the picture! You are looking at a sort of Robot Hive, bees and electronics is a very tight connection. The setup allows researchers to have a close look at the behaviour of bees – you know, the small, important little helpers of nature. With this close integration picture Rafael Barmak received the the first prize in the category “Locations and instruments”. In the video below he explains the setup and the research.
