Inelco Hunter has developed a 5.1V Power PCB and USB-C Adaptor to streamline the use of the Raspberry Pi 5 in industrial applications.

The powerPRO single PCB avoids the need for multiple power supplies when integrating a display with the Raspberry Pi 5. Any additional peripherals can be added, consolidating the power management into a single hub.

The input voltage spans a wide range, from 5v to 18v for industrial designs with multiple output connections providing a consistent continuous 6A rating.

Power and cooling challenges of the Raspberry Pi 5

The company is a Raspberry Pi design partner and developed the powerPRO to streamline the Pi 5 set-up, the powerPRO is an innovative solution allowing connection of the new Pi 5 to a display using the powerPRO as the single power source. For example, the Inelco Hunter 10.1 TFT (D90101 series) Touch Panel offers a “ready to go” integrated display solution with the Pi 5.

The D/5831/PWR5V 12V board has a footprint of 68.1 x 27.6 x 14.0 mm, while the D/5831/USBC USB-C link PCB measures 26.4 x 14.0 x 12.7 mm.

A range of mounting accessories and cables provides flexibility for placement in various configurations with standard RPI mounting hole spacing. Multiple output connections are provided: USB-C, 2.54mm, 6-pin JST.

The maximum continuous current is 6A and there is built-in thermal shutdown protection for overcurrent situations. The powerPRO Power PCB is UL recognised and RoHS compliant.
