Bourns takes Murata Manufacturing’s trimming potentiometers onboard
Bourns which claims trimming potentiometers as the company’s own invention 60 years ago, trademarked Trimpot®, has continually increased the number of physical configurations available and the ability of its Trimpot® products to withstand manufacturing environment demands.
By acquiring Murata’s trimming potentiometer business, the company hopes to benefit from two significant strategic advantages, a stronger competitive position particularly in Asia, and additional depth to Bourns’ Trimpot® product line.
