C-to-GDSII startup joins ARM connected community
It has developed technology to convert C code to silicon for system-on-chip (SoC) devices and IP, and was set up by some of the leading isliocn engineers, including the designer of the ZSP parpallel processor.
“Algotochip is pleased to help in reducing the customer’s overall design time on ARM processor-based devices,” said Didier Bolvin, VP of Marketing at Algotochip. “Our proprietary Blue-Box technology uses the customer’s ANSI-C code to generate a complete foundry-ready device along with a matching application-specific firmware, enabling a customer’s applications to run on a cost-effective, power efficient, custom hardware platform, in as little as eight weeks.”
The dream of directly translating a C-code description of an algorithm into a has never been completely realized, and Algotochip says it’s patented approach is the industry’s first complete C-code to GDSII solution for SoCs, ASICs, FPGAs or IP Blocks that covers all aspects of hardware and software design. Algotochip guarantees that its SoC meets all the performance specifications made by the customer, and ensures that it will be right the first time.
The ARM Connected Community currently has over 950 companies. “By joining the Community Algotochip increases the large portfolio of skills, products and services that are centered around the ARM architecture, and currently available to developers worldwide,” said Lori Kate Smith, Sr. Manager Community Programs for ARM.
