With the TS-ITS100 Rohde & Schwarz enables companies in the automotive value chain a system that enables fully automated testing of RF components according to IEEE 802.11p. Thanks to its compact design, this RF conformance test system can be used in all segments of the value chain, from design and development to pre-certification and conformity checks.

The system runs the company’s Contest sequencer software that has been purpose-built for RF conformance tests. It enables users to prove the conformance of the DUT with regional standards such as ETSI EN302 507 in the EU, IEEE 802.11-2012 in the United States or the ARIB standard in Japan. These standards ensure that the 802.11p terminal devices function properly within the correct frequency range and do not interfere with neighbor frequencies. In addition, the system cover specific performance tests that take fading into account as described by C2C communication Consortium. With this kind of tests, users can assess quality and reliability of 802.11p terminal devices in vehicles, taking into account changing environment conditions when driving.

The system enables fully automated test sequences where the test cases desired by the user can be compiled simply by drag-and-drop in a test plan. In addition, the system offers numerous analysis and evaluation tools.

Integrated into the test system is the compnay’s OSP-ITS switching matrix, enabling automated switching of all paths an filters involved into the test sequence. Comprising the high-end vector signal generator SMW200A and FSV30, the TS-ITS100 offers high accuracy and quick test runs.
