
Cambridge VC fund raises $100 million
CIC was founded in 2013 by the University of Cambridge and works with Cambridge Enterprise, the commercialisation arm of the university. To date CIC has investd approximately £33 million (about $43 million) in 13 companies.
Investors in the funding include: Woodford Investment Management acting as agent on behalf of certain discretionally managed funds, Winton Ventures, the Oman Investment Fund, the University of Cambridge Endowment Fund, Lansdowne Partners, ARM and IP Group plc.
Portfolio companies include: Audio Analytica, Undo Software, Origami Energy and Pragmatic Printing as well as a number of health and life sciences companies.
