CANbus Keypads and MMI controllers
Developed by Grayhill Inc the new 3J CAN-based devices feature enhanced shock resistance and long mechanical life and are built to withstand rugged conditions typically found in agriculture, construction, and mining machinery. They provide built-in diagnostics and low-current consumption (<1.5 mA when the system is inactive). Grayhill’s Second Generation Joystick MMI Controllers simply snap in to the front of any control panel. They are designed for ISO 13849 safety-rated vehicle applications and meet the ISO and ANSI specifications, such as environmental sealing, temperature range and electrical conditions.
Providing multi-functional operation for intuitive operator control Grayhill’s new 3J Generation 2 Joystick and MMI Controllers are available in three mechanical form factors: The Rotary Encoder with pushbutton provides 16 position continuous rotation; the Digital Joystick Encoder with pushbutton provides 20 position continuous rotation and the HE Proportional Joystick with push button has X-Y axes and also offers momentary rotation switching action. Each controller has 6 separate back illuminated push buttons with ISO legends or targets, and each pushbutton has 3 illuminated status indicators.
Designed for 12/24 volt systems Grayhill 3J Joystick and MMI controllers conform to J1939 – CANopen will be available soon – and CANbus safety communication protocols and offer a range of on-board self-diagnostics including Supply Voltage monitoring and Button Short Detection indication.
