The company introduced the GW1N-1K and GW1N-9K FPGAs in 2015 with the corresponding approximate number of lookup tables per device. The chips are manufactured in the 55nm embedded flash process from TSMC (see China startup offers non-volatile FPGAs).
Gowin has now added the GW1N-2, GW1N-4 and GW1N-6 to the family, again with the corresponding thousands of lookup tables per device. The family provides up to 198bits of block SRAM and nearly 20kbits of shadow SRAM; up to 2Mbits of flash memory; up to 20 dedicated 18×18 multipliers and accumulators; up to 276 user I/O pins. Package options on GW1N devices include WLCSP25, WLCSP72, QFN32, TQFP100, TQFPQ44, MBGA160, PBGA204, PBGA256, and UBGA332.
The GW1N devices can be used for applications in telecommunications, consumer electronics, industry control and video surveillance, said Marcus Shen, director of sales, in a statement.
GW1N-1 engineering samples in TQFP144 package and entry level evaluation board are available now.
