Chip equipment broker Moov beefs up European presence
Online semiconductor manufacturing equipment broker Moov Technologies Inc. (Tempe, Ariz.) has said it is expanding in Europe.
Moov has been operating in Europe since 2020 but has now appointed Eric Tribolet as director of European Sales. Most recently, Tribolet held the position of Global Business Director Europe for CMC Materials (acquired by Entegris).
CEO and cofounder Steven Zhou said Moov has seen substantial interest from European manufacturers for equipment management software that became available in January, as part of the broader platform offered to help chipmakers maximize returns on equipment.
“As Europe strives to grow its share of global semiconductor manufacturing capacity, a solution like Moov, which allows fabs to more nimbly scale capacity and recoup capital on underutilized assets, is more critical than ever,” said Zhou.
Substantial investments are expected at fabs across Europe including investments by TSMC, Intel, Globalfoundries and STMicroelectronics.
