CMOS image sensor market to rebound through 2025
The market for CMOS image sensors was flat in 2020 reducing it to 3 percent annual growth and a value of about $19 billion, the market researcher said. Sony, the market leader in CMOS image sensor sales predicted a poor 2020 due to interruption in smartphone sales but reported sales picking up again from about the 3Q20. IC Insights forecasts 19 percent market growth in 2021 taking the market up to $22.8 billion.
