In very small packaging, the parts have typical drop out voltages of 210 mV (at an output voltage and current of 2.5V and 300 mA). In addition to an output noise voltage of 38 μVrms (typ. at 2.5V output, IOUT=10 mA), the LDOs also offer high ripple rejection (R.R.) of 70 dB (typ.). A load transient response of 80 mV (typ.) for output current changes between 1 and 300 mA further contributes to the performance of this series.

Other integrated features are inrush current protection, overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown protection and a built in output auto-discharge function, for optimised system performance with respect to noise and battery lifetime as well as a reduced demand for external components.

As well as the small DFN4 package that measures 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.58 mm, the regulator is also available as the TCR3DF family in a general purpose SOT-25 package that makes this LDO also suitable for standard industrial and consumer applications.
