Codasip faces management change

Codasip GmbH (Munich, Germany), a pioneer of configurable RISC-V cores, is considering its management options following the departure of chief marketing officer Rupert Baines.

A company spokesperson confirmed that Baines had left the company with immediate effect last week. The spokesperson added that it was too soon to say whether the company would appoint someone to the same position, or shift responsibilities within senior management.

The company provided a statement: “Rupert had an awful personal tragedy last year. He has resigned as he needed time to deal with that and support his family. He did want us to emphasize this is emphatically not a criticism or problem with Codasip or the team, and he still absolutely believes in the vision of the company.”

Baines joined Codasip as CMO in 2020 after Siemens acquired UltraSoC Ltd., a company where Baines had been CEO and helped build up design centres in Cambridge and Bristol.
