Intel RSD has been designed to provide data centres scale up efficiently with lower costs due to the pooling of resources and virtualisation. Microsemi’s PCIe switches can help provide the fabric connect infrastructure to enable efficient resource pooling. The NVMe-oF implementation allows operators to enable systems comprised of different storage tiers to give customers optimised solutions.
As well as storage, the NVMe-oF solution can also target other endpoints, such as FPGAs or general purpose GPUs.
