The IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is used to enable SMS or voice services within the LTE network. The IP Multimedia Services Identity Module (ISIM) is an application running on a UICC smart card. It contains parameters for identifying and authenticating the user to the IMS. The ISIM coexists with the USIM or the CSIM on a multi-application UICC.
The new SIMfony RS IMS test solution tests the device interaction with the ISIM application. The SIMfony RS IMS consists of the Rohde & Schwarz LTE network simulator R&S CMW500, the IMS Simulation R&S CMW-KF576 and the Comprion IT³/IT³ Prove! UICC/USIM/CSIM/ISIM Simulator.
