Compact and flexible board suits many applications
The AAEON COM-WHUC6 is built around 8th Generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3 and Celeron ULT series (formerly Whiskey Lake) processors to provide energy-efficient performance. The processor is supported by two DDR4 slots that can provide up to 64GB DDR4 RAM. 64GB on-board eMMC storage is also supported for optimal processing capabilities.
The Compact Type 6 board was developed for industrial embedded applications and is therefore flexible and easy to install and maintain. It offers I/O support that includes USB 3.2 Gen 2 for high-speed connectivity, along with VGA, eDP/LVDS and DDI for ease of use when being integrated into existing systems. It can be easily expanded through the two SATA III devices and five PCIe devices. COM-WHUC6 can be configured to a range of options, including WiTAS 2 compliance for operation in temperatures from -40°C to 85°C.
The COM-WHUC6 is intended to be as flexible as possible to offer support for a wide range of embedded applications. These applications range from automated inspection to mobile medical devices. The Compact Type 6 form factor allows the board to be easily installed, replaced and upgraded. The COM-WHUC6 also supports applications requiring multi-module configurations.
At the board’s original launch, David Hung, Product Manager with AAEON’s Embedded Computing Division said, “The COM-WHUC6 is a highly versatile COM module,” said. “With the 8th Generation Intel Core and Celeron processors along with its wide temperature design, the COM-WHUC6 can be deployed anywhere for any task”.
