Compact and highly efficient: PCB power supply series EPP-120S
The demand for smaller PCB power supplies has increased rapidly as a result of the miniaturization trend in terminal devices. Since the introduction of the 3″ x 2″ EPS-25/35/45S/65S series (25 – 65 watts), Mean Well has recently introduced the miniaturized EPP-120S series.
The EPP-120S series is currently the only 3″ x 2″ PCB power supply series on the market that can operate up to 120 watts with free air convection. The maximum power rating achieved by comparable 3″ x 2″ PCB power supplies is only 100 watts, without external fan cooling.
Other outstanding features of the EPP-120S series are its small size (3″ x 2″), 150 Watt peak load capability for 10 seconds, an ultra-wide operating temperature range of -30 to 85 °C, an idle power of less than 0.3 Watt, 94% high efficiency and an operating altitude of up to 5,000 meters.
In addition, the series is compatible with both Class I (with FG) and Class II (without FG) installations, making the power supply suitable for both plastic and metal enclosures, saving system designers time and costs for EMI debugging. The EPP-120S series is suitable for all types of industrial electronic equipment, electromechanical instruments, factory automation systems and applications requiring low standby power consumption.
