Because of the module’s small form factor and integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networking options, the wireless module is an ideal embedded platform solution for developing portable medical devices and other products in energy, transportation, industrial automation and building automation.

It offers easy design integration, high performance, low-power operation and unique peripheral/interface flexibility in an extremely compact and cost effective form factor, with an integrated 32-bit ARM core running at up to 454MHz. It features on-chip power management, Bluetooth 4.0, dual Ethernet and 802.11a/b/g/n, and dual FlexCAN networking options. GPIO, ADC, UART, USB 2.0 high-speed, SPI, I2C, I2S, 1-Wire, PWM, and JTAG/ETM are available as standard.

This device provides up to 2GB NAND Flash, RAM of up to 256MB DDR2, and operates at a temperature of -40°C to +85°C. The ConnectCard for i.MX28 module incorporates the iDigi Connector for immediate access to the iDigi Device Cloud, providing the infrastructure required to access, control, configure and upgrade unlimited numbers of devices securely over the internet, which meets the highest standards of reliability.
