This family of power switches incorporates 0.4A current limiting, while operating from a 2.7V to 5.5V supply with a maximum continuous load current rating of 0.2A. Other protection features, such as 0.4 msec controlled rise and fall times, support hot-swap connections between computing, communication and consumer electronics equipment, and peripherals. Under-voltage lockout (UVLO) and reverse-current blocking protect the input power supply while thermal protection prevents damage to the IC under heavy-overload or short-circuit fault conditions

In full compliance with USB 2.0 and available with both polarities of enable input, the AP21410 (active-low) and AP21510 (active-high) switches have 95 mΩ on-resistance and 1 μA shutdown current that contribute to reduced power consumption. Both versions of this power switch are supplied in a 6-pin U-DFN2018 package.

AP21410/AP21510 are priced from $0.08 (3000)
