
Coronavirus prompts ST to pull out of MWC, Embedded World
STMicroelectronics NV (Geneva, Switzerland) said it is also staying away from Embedded World, which takes place at Nuremberg, Germany at the same time.
ST cited the Coronavirus outbreak in China and said it has taken a number of precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of its employees worldwide.
Although ST will not exhibit at MWC 2020 and analyst and media event scheduled to take place at the La Fira showground will take place the company said. The presentation and Q&A will also be available live online at ST’s website.
ST has joined Intel, ZTE, LG, Amazon, Nvidia and Ericsson in refusing to exhibit at Mobile World Congress, which takes place in Barcelona, February 24 to 27. However, it is the first high profile company to cut participation at Embedded World, which takes place February 25 to 27.
