Novator Solutions has announced the release of HUGIN 304DF a cost-effective mobile EW/SIGINT system with unmatched channel count.
HUGIN 304DF is Novator Solutions first tactical turnkey EW/SIGINT solution with monitoring, recording and direction-finding capabilities. It leverages the unique channelizer technology providing 64 channels enabling simultaneous monitoring and recording of analog clear voice Push to Talk (PTT) communication using FM, AM or SSB modulation.
Increased channel capacity and reduced channel cost
The goal with HUGIN 304DF was to provide a tactical system that can handle more interceptions at a competitive price. With 4 individual 80 MHz wide tuners and 60 channels for PTT traffic plus 4 channels for IQ recording HUGIN 304DF provides outstanding flexibility to intercept all communication simultaneously. Together with the direction finder the operator gets 360 degree situational awareness.
All digital drop receivers “DDRs” can be configured in real-time. Settings like center frequency, bandwidth, demodulation and AGC mode are controlled individually per DDR.
The EW/SIGINT system has intuitive command-and-control software that provides operators with a 360 degree situational awareness overview making it easy to make decisions on the spot. Operators manage the spectrum and assign the digital drop receivers (DDR) via a single laptop screen. All recorded voice channels can be played back in near real-time.
Thanks to the innovative channelizer technology we are able to reduce the cost per channel while providing a highly flexible receiver and intuitive command and control software.
“The close collaboration with our key suppliers and partners allowed us to deliver the first systems within 6 months from project kick-off.”, says Henrik Ulfhielm, CEO of Novator Solutions
This initial HUGIN 304DF release supports 20 MHz to 520 MHz for Push to Talk communication and direction finding. One of the four tuners can optionally be used to monitor the spectrum up to 6 GHz.
The HUGIN 304DF mobile EW/SIGINT system comes in an environmental box and can be deployed in any moving vehicle with a ground plane for the direction finder antenna and 12-V DC power.
