Cre8 Ventures from Siemens is offering a scale up initiative for silicon startups using an innovation scheme at Cambridge University in the UK

Following the impulse scheme, founders can transition to the Siemens Cre8Ventures initiative with resources specifically for silicon startups. The 12-week impulse programme at Cambridge is specifically for technology innovators with mentorship, networking opportunities, market analysis and business development

This includes access to the Siemens Silicon Digital Twin marketplaces: One of Cre8Ventures’ standout features is access to the silicon digital twin marketplaces. These emerging cloud-based environments simulate the entire lifecycle of semiconductor products, allowing startups to optimise designs, test prototypes, and predict performance before physical production—which can be $20m to $30m for advanced semiconductors.

The Cre8 scheme helps develop a proof-of-technology, proof-of-concept and proof-of-value for silicon startups with a Route-to-Product through a Pop-Up Lab. This provides collaborative access to Siemens and Mentor EDA tools, subsystem silicon twins and full system digital twins (physics and electronics) to build value and pre-money valuations.

It also enables a route to both non-dilutive and dilutive EU Chips Act funding opportunities and introduces founders to a network of deeptech investors. Through risk sharing and providing insights into market trends and investor expectations, the initiative helps investors secure de-risked capital and efficient deal flows.

Beyond product development and funding, Cre8Ventures supports startups in navigating the complexities of market entry. This includes access to Siemens’ business interests, promotion, strategic partnerships and access to the company’s global World Trade customer relationships.

“The future of semiconductor technology depends on the ability to nurture and support the next generation of innovators. Together, Siemens Cre8Ventures and impulse are not only providing the training, tools and resources needed for success but also fostering a vibrant ecosystem where semiconductor startups can flourish,” says Carson Bradbury, founder of Cre8 Ventures. “This collaboration stands as a testament to the potential of combining academic excellence with industry expertise to drive technological advancement and economic growth.”
