Current-compensated chokes operate up to 80-A
Characteristic of the RB series are the open construction and clear separation of the windings by the use of a new bobbin design. With forced cooling the chokes can operate with up to 80 A. The air gaps and leakage paths are designed for working voltages of up to 600 Vac /1000 Vdc.
The pin-out of the chokes permits a simple layout of the circuit boards. A straightforward circuit path design has advantages in terms of losses and noise suppression, especially for applications at higher current levels.
The EMC/EMI filtering can be incorporated into the circuit board of power electronic devices, such as inverters for drive applications, for photovoltaic or for charging stations. The RB chokes can be mounted directly to the circuit boards and are thus applicable for electronic devices that are exposed to vibration.
The RB chokes comply with the RoHS and REACH requirements and are available off-the-shelf through the company’s global distribution and sales network.
