The ACS71240 family is designed to be small, energy efficient and ideal for electric vehicle chargers, DC/DC converters and industrial motor and IOT applications.

The Hall effect sensors offer improvements over the current Allegro ACS711 family, including:

• Output signal immunity to stray magnetic fields;

• Improved output signal accuracy (<+/-1.5% typical);

• Output signal immunity to noisy supply voltage rails.

Other benefits of the ACS71240 family include a fast, dedicated over current fault output with a typical response time of 1.5 µs. The devices come in two small form factor package options, with different levels of galvanic isolation. The 3 mm x 3 mm, wettable flank QFN package can be used on voltage rails up to 120 V DC and enables solder joint inspection required in zero PPM automotive applications. The standard footprint SOIC8 package is UL certified to 2400 V RMS of isolation and offers a working voltage of 420 V DC or 297 V RMS.

The ACS71240 is a fully integrated solutions that will reduce the overall cost of current sensing by eliminating discrete components.
