SerialTap is a patented sensing device that passively intercepts serial communications and then uses analytics software to identify anomalous network traffic. The solution is based on technology developed by the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. The sensor is electrically isolated from the control network, preventing interference. Intercepted data packets are sent to the analytics platform via an out-of-band Ethernet connection.
