
Data centre startup links power systems to the Internet of Things
IP House is using Schneider’s EcoStruxure IT cloud-based Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platform to provide 24/7 monitoring of their ISO-accredited facility, linking it to the Internet of Things (IoT). The new carrier neutral centre in London’s financial district that will launch later this month with 14,000 sq ft of space across two technical suites.
It also uses APC’s Power Distribution Units (PDU), Switchgear, NetShelter Racks and Symmetra PX UPS. The Symmetra UPS systems are connected to a management network for monitoring and control by on-premise software, cloud-based Web applications, analytics or services.

EcoStruxure also enables apps, analytics and cloud-based applications for “big data” analytics that provide insight to reduce risk, simplify operations and increase efficiency.
