
Datwyler considers Premier Farnell options
Datwyler Holding AG (Altdorf, Switzerland) reported its financial results for the first half of 2016 and said it is considering how to proceed in view of the higher offer submitted by Avnet (see Avnet counterbids for Premier Farnell).
Datwyler said it would communicate about the matter “in due course” in its prss statement and also told financial analysts that it would not be communicating about the possible acquisition of Premier Farnell during a conference call to discuss the results.
The company announced positive results with net revenue year-on-year in the first half of 2016 increased by 7.3 percent to CHF 621.1 million (about $645 million). The net profit rose by 34.4 percent to CHF 56.6 million (about $60 million) partly on improved organic performance and partly on favourable currency exchange changes.
