The device features an input voltage range from 4.5V to 40VDC at output currents of 1A. According to the device version, the chip provides fixed output voltages of 3.3V, 5V or variable voltages from 1.5V to the respective input voltage. The efficiency reaches values of more than 90%. With its integrated power MOSFET, the converter requires only a very low number of external components. The PFM method achieves excellent reaction times, high stability and a high efficiency across the entire voltage and output current range. The chip has a "Power good" signal as well as a voltage-proof enable pin which enable designers to combine multiple 522.0x devices for a defined power-up sequencing.

The converters are available in a QFN20L4 or TSSOP16 package. They are qualified according to automotive standard AEC-Q100 and designed to work in an ambient temperature range from -40°C through +125°C.
