With its high frequency zero-voltage switching (ZVS) topology, the DCM converter consistently delivers high efficiency across the input line range. Aimed at a variety of applications, including UAV, ground vehicle, radar, transportation and industrial controls, Vicor has added a new 30V input nominal module (9 to 50V range) in a 3623 ChiP package measuring 38.6×22.9×7.4mm. This converter has an output voltage of 15V maximum power of 160W, achieving a power density of 404 W/in3. Also announced is a 375W module with a nominal input voltage of 275V (120 to 420V) and 24V output in a 4623 ChiP package measuring 48×22.9×7.4mm, achieving a power density of 775 W/in3.
