Defense-grade hybrid and directional couplers
Offering a wide bandwidth range, high isolation/directivity, low insertion loss and ENIG plating finish, these high-reliability hybrid and directional couplers are ideal for aerospace and defense applications where size, weight and power (SWAP) are critical. The devices have been subjected to rigorous qualification testing and are manufactured using materials that are CTE-compatible (coefficients of thermal expansion) with common substrates such as FR4, G-10, RF-35, RO4350, and polyimide.
”Due to the widespread adoption of GaN-based RF power transistors and ICs, with their higher power density, efficiency, and wider bandwidth, passive components haven’t scaled as quickly,” commented Mark Vitellaro, Director of Strategic Marketing for Richardson RFPD. “These aerospace and defense couplers from Anaren bring high performance with miniaturized footprints that really enable system size reductions. Anaren has leveraged its twenty years of surface mount softboard technology experience to develop these innovative hybrid and directional couplers for S-band applications.”
