Delta Microelectronics develops and supplies ASICS for Digitalstrom
Digitalstrom provides smart home solutions connecting all electrical household appliances through power lines. Based on an open interface, Digitalstrom products allow users to operate an intelligent home via light switches, free speaking using Amazon Echo, and other apps. Earlier this year, Digitalstrom won the Future Digital Award for Best Consumer Product in the Smart Homes category from market research company Juniper Research.
The partnership will help Digitalstrom to optimize its supply chain and better manage production ramp up. “Having worked closely with Delta as our ASIC test house partner, it was natural to extend our relationship and benefit from DELTA’s supply chain expertise,” said Nuno Pinto, Head of production and Supply chain at Digitalstrom.
The partnership will provide Digitalstrom with access to DELTA’s supply chain infrastructure and expert teams for handling testing, packaging, logistics, storage and IC distribution. Delta’s microelectronics testing facilities will enable enforcing the quality control measures and ensure a low-risk production path.
