Important features in the selection of the DA9210 sub-PMIC by HTC included programmable soft start up, the ability to allow the processor to go from sleep mode to full load in microseconds, and dynamic voltage scaling supporting adaptive adjustment of the supply voltage dependent on the processor load. The remote sensing capabilities guarantee the highest levels of accuracy, while the high integration level of the DA9210 removes the need for external FETs or Schottky diodes. The DA9210 was also successfully used in Mediatek’s earlier MT6595 platform.

The elegant HTC smartphones host a wide range of enhanced HTC proprietary features including high quality surround sound simulation and 20-megapixel dual cameras. The HTC One E9+ has a 5.5-inch extremely sharp Quad HD (534 ppi) display and the M9+, a 5.2-inch display with a front-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Udo Kratz, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Dialog’s Business Group Mobile Systems adds, “Our technology provides both models with sophisticated power control by supplying high currents in a tiny space without the risk of overheating other components.”

MediaTek’s MT6795 octa-core 4G LTE processor is based on the ARM big.LITTLE architecture and uses four Cortex-A17 cores together with four energy efficient Cortex-A7 cores. It integrates a range of technologies including Mediatek’s CorePilot heterogeneous multiprocessing technology providing ultra-low power consumption and optimised thermal control. The Clearmotion technology eliminates motion jitter, ensuring smooth and the highest quality video performance.
