Development tool supports Renesas RH850 automotive MCUs
According to the tool vendor, the TRACE32 tools provide quick RH850 processor debugging through a standard JTAG interface for the entire debug process, including code download, flash programming and source code debugging. These tools can be connected to either Windows or Linux hosts via USB 2.0 or Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports. The included TRACE32 PowerView software provides a high-level language (HLL) debugger for C and C++, as well as AUTOSAR operating system awareness.
The new RH850 MCUs are designed for use in a variety of automotive body applications and provide many advantages. The RH850/F1x Series is comprised of three groups and has a total of more than 50 products from Low-end to High-end, the RH850/F1L, RH850/F1M and RH850/F1H.
“With TRACE32, the growing numbers of developers using RH850, now have access to a full range of debug functionality, from bootstrap code to interrupt routines and drivers. Lauterbach is committed to continue bringing additional features and future extensions to customers using the Renesas RH850 Family of Automotive MCUs”, said Norbert Weiss, International Sales & Marketing Manager at Lauterbach.
