The Zebra2 sends uncompressed video over HD-SDI as well as MJPEG compressed or uncompressed images over Gigabit Ethernet. The new 2.8 MP, 1080p30, model offers excellent light sensitivity while the 5 MP variant offers excellent value for lower frame rate applications. Designed to capture high quality, color rich images in a variety of dynamically lit indoor and outdoor environments, Point Grey’s new image processing technology maximizes image quality through advanced noise reduction, tone mapping, and color interpolation techniques.

The new models introduce P-iris lens control which enables discrete control over the lens aperture. The new image pipeline combined with Sony CCD imagers and remote lens control allows the Zebra2 to capture crisp images of fast moving objects. The Zebra2 ZBR2-PGEHD-28S4C-CS (color) model uses the Sony ICX687 EXview HAD II, 1/1.8" CCD producing 1928 x 1448 at 26 FPS. The ZBR2-PGEHD-51S5C-CS (color) model uses the Sony ICX655, 2/3" CCD producing 2448 x 2048 at 10 FPS.
