Digital pre-distortion demodulator targets wireless base stations
The chips are optimized for 400 to 1200MHz and 1300 to 2900MHz wireless systems, respectively. They include demodulator, digital step attenuator (DSA), and high-isolation single-pole double-throw (SP2T) switch to minimize system solution cost, board footprint, and bill-of-materials. The devices’ innovative architecture and design, coupled with a high level of integration, offer over one Watt of power savings compared to conventional solutions, claims the manufacturer. This results in reduced heat dissipation and energy usage, helping to ease cooling requirements, promote smaller equipment form factors, and lower operating costs.
The Zero-Distortion demodulator is able to drive the analogue-to-digital converters directly, eliminating the need for intermediate frequency variable gain amplifiers in most applications. Both devices are available to qualified customers in a compact, 6×6 mm 36-ld VFQFPN package.
