The unit weighs only 800 grams and is suitable for data collection and control in energy utilities, building automation and demanding industrial automation environments. This embedded controller offers IT professionals with straightforward setup and configuration options and an ample supply of connectivity ports including an RS-232 and RS-232/424/485 COM port, five USB 2.0 ports for peripheral device connections and high speed network access via its Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 port. Another valuable feature for automation applications is the 4 channel digital IO with VCC, which allows technicians to set up hardware triggers for external events, such as high valve pressure, valve closure status, reactor temperatures, low tank levels to name a few, for valuable data utilization and customization options.
An external 2.5” HDD can be connected for additional storage, an internal Half-Size Mini Card or mSATA storage connector inside enables OS and other system application storage provisions. Front mounted LEDs indicate HDD and power status. The unit operates from 12V DC but is also available with a wide +7 to 30V input range. Designed to withstand harsh environments, the TKS-P20-CV01 can operate in temperatures between 0 and 55°C.
