PULS has developed a 480W DIN-rail power supply that adds an IO-Link interface and integrated display.

The CP20.248-IOL is a high-reliability 24 VDC power supply for operation monitoring and remote control. The built-in IO-Link interface and the front panel display allows operators to customise the power supply and application data for real-time monitoring, This allows any operating changes required to be made to the system in good time. The power supply may also be switched on and off remotely.

The CP20.248-IOL is based on the proven DIMENSION CP20 series, which has sold millions of units. Popular features such as permanent 20 % BonusPower at temperatures up to 45°C, active power factor correction (PFC) and electronic inrush current limitation have been retained. Additionally, the power supply is very energy-efficient with a peak efficiency of 95.5% and emits only minimal power losses.

The width of 48 mm has been maintained despite the additional communication features to allow the supply to fit into confined control cabinets. The low weight of 835g puts minimal stress on the DIN rail.

“With the CP20.248-IOL, we are making an already very good power supply even better,” says Marco Ahrens, Product Manager for DIMENSION products at PULS GmbH. “By combining a high-end power supply, IO-Link interface, and integrated display, the power supply is ready for all current and future automation requirements.”

The DIN-rail power supply CP20.248-IOL, as well as further variants with EtherCAT, are now available.
