Techshine currently has three TN/STN display production lines in operation and is planning a fourth in 2017, according to andersDX; the arrangement, “guarantees supply of passive mono display modules.”

Paul Hooper, Display Group Manager at andersDX, says, “We are still seeing strong demand for mono displays but many larger manufacturers have either pulled out of the market or announced plans to do so. andersDX has identified Techshine as a strong, high quality supplier that is investing in this passive display technology, allowing us to offer our customers a source for mono displays for as long as they continue to need them. There are opportunities to supply mono displays both into new designs and to customers whose existing suppliers are discontinuing their support… [this partnership]…is keeping this option open for our customers for the foreseeable future.”

Sebastien Caballoue, Overseas Sales Director of Techshine commented, “Techshine sees a great opportunity to supply customers who value low power consumption, low cost, long service life, readability and ease of integration that passive mono displays offer. Indeed some of these markets such as smart metering are growing ever stronger.”

andersDX is offering the full range of Techshine passive display technologies in sizes from 1 in. to 5 in. Techshine offers transmissive and transflective displays and is able to tool full custom displays with a low minimum order quantity. Techshine was formed in 2005 and currently has one TN display line and two STN production lines in operation at its 49,000 m² site in Qinzhou City. A third STN line is due to open in 2017. Techshine is accredited to ISO9001-2008 and ISO14001. It expects to achieve ISO/TS16949 in March 2017.
