London-based RS Group is rebranding its main trading brand in the Americas, Allied Electronics & Automation, to RS.

The rebranding is RS Group’s latest effort to consolidate and simplify its brand around the world following its change of name from Electrocomponents.

In the Americas region, the former Allied business supplies more than three million industrial and electronic products from more than 650 trusted suppliers. The range includes more than 240,000 ready-to-ship products in categories extending from automation and control equipment to interconnect, passive, active, and electromechanical components and more than 80,000 own brand RS PRO products.

It also has a portfolio of services for design, procurement, inventory, and maintenance, with kitting, bagging, and labeling services.

“Extending the RS brand in the Americas is an exciting milestone for the Group and for our people who can now truly feel part of one brand, one team and one culture,” said David Egan, Acting CEO of RS Group who took over after Lindsley Ruth stepped down in December after a leave of absence.

“As we continue to bring our businesses together under one strong, unified global brand, we see greater opportunities for us to unlock our global efficiency and enable scalability to help deliver our journey to greatness,” he said.

The continued unification of the RS brand with its own brand RS PRO products will help to drive continued market growth and accelerate organic growth, says the company. The increased global collaboration will also fuel environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives aimed at creating a more sustainable and inclusive world.
