With a power consumption of 0.3 through 1 W, these LEDs provide a luminous flux of 24 to 110lm, generated by two, three or six LED dies, according to the specific type. In addition, an improved heat removal facilitates application design with these LEDs. Implemented in surface mount technology (SMT), the LEDs feature a small, compact package with only 2,8 x 2,8 x 1,9 mm to 3,2 x 3,2 x 2,1 mm depending on the type. Their Color Rendering Index (CRI) is 85, significantly exceeding the Enery Star requirements of 80.
The usage of a power SMT package for an electric power of only 0,3W reduces the dazzling effect when compared with conventional LEDs with higher luminous flux. In addition, this enables designers to achieve higher system efficiency through its increased flexibility in thermal management.
The devices are driven by a current between 100mA and 350mA, depending on the specific model. The LEDs are available in five different color temperatures ranging from 3000K to 6500K. The L80 lifetime is specified at 50.000 operation hours which means that after this period the LEDs still generate 80 percent of its initial luminous flux.
