ABLE Design will continue as brand name for high-quality, industrial display systems under the leadership of DSM Computer. The two companies were merged to the balance sheet date of 31.12.2010. From this date, DSM assumed all rights and obligations of ABLE Design.
DSM Computer produces all current and newly-introduced products at its own sites in Munich. The service for previously delivered displays will also continue in the usual manner. To profit from the many years of consulting and development expertise of ABLE Design in the display technologies, interface solutions, display controller and housing technology areas, DSM has taken over all the ABLE Design employees.
Axel Schäfer, managing director of DSM Computer GmbH, welcomed the fusion with ABLE Design and explained the future chances: "For many years we have been cooperating with ABLE Design and offer with our industrial PCs and embedded systems a wide range of control computers for various display systems.
With the acquisition of the display specialist, we bundle the existing technical know-how and utilize this comprehensive experience in new innovative products. This means we are ideally equipped to develop new markets and trend-setting applications even this year. Thanks to the ABLE public display systems, we can offer our customers complete solutions from a single source – Made in Germany."
