E.E.P.D., together with Pyramid North America Inc., will present the latest single board computers (SBCs) and systems at embedded world North America 2024, including a selection of mini ITX (AMD and Intel based) and NUC boards in various performance classes as well as BoxPCs. The focus will be on the latest NUCN and NUCU SBCs.

The PROFIVE NUCU SBCs offer the highest AI performance in the smallest space. Developed and manufactured in Germany, the SBCs are based on processors from the AMD Ryzen™ Embedded 8000 series and are designed as high-performance class boards. With the “Zen 4” x86 core architecture and highly innovative 4nm process technology, they offer high performance and best-in-class energy efficiency.

Thanks to state-of-the-art RDNA3 Radeon graphics architecture and the integrated XDNA Neural Processing Unit as an AI engine with up to 16 TOPS, the NUCU series is ideal for applications that require high CPU and/or GPU performance as well as security functions such as ECC and hardware TPM. These include 3D applications, augmented and virtual reality as well as AI systems, machine learning, IoT edge applications, industrial automation systems, computer vision and much more.

NUCN SBCs are equipped with the latest Intel Atom® E-series and Intel® N-series processors. A very robust industrial embedded board, the NUCN SBC corresponds to the embedded NUC standard with a size of around 4- x 4-inch. All important components including memory and SSD are soldered to the board. It is ideal for applications that require high CPU performance combined with passive cooling, an extended temperature range and high mechanical resistance combined with security features such as hardware TPM.

Key features of the NUCN SBCs include a memory of up to 16 GB soldered DDR5 RAM with in-band error correction code, ECC, (depending on the variant), a soldered eMMC SSD (up to 128 GB), up to 3x 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet, 2280 NVMe, as well as numerous security features. Special strengths of the NUCN include an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, long-term availability of up to 15 years, depending on the CPU variant, three Intel® I226 2.5 Gbit/s ports with IEEE1588, TSN support and Wake-On-Lan (on one port). Wireless modules for 4G / LTE / 5G / WIFI 6 are also supported.

E.E.P.D. will also be presenting the new EM PRO midi® Cube as well as two passively cooled fanless BoxPCs that are part of the BSNP and BSIP (IP67) product family at embedded world North America 2024.

EM PRO midi® Cube is a robust, reliable and very compact Box PC based on the embedded NUCU board, which is optimized for the requirements and use in corporate IT. It is based on the AMD Ryzen™ Embedded 8845HS, 8645HS, 8840U, 8640U processors and a state-of-the-art RDNA3 Radeon graphics architecture along with an integrated XDNA Neural Processing Unit. Designed for 24/7 continuous operation, the EM PRO midi® Cube is the ideal for retail and specialized trade/POS, as a compact computer for surgery and hospital treatment rooms, IoT edge nodes, thin/lean client applications, network monitoring servers, building automation and much more.

The BSNP and BSIP series are industrial EM Box® PCs (waterproof version with protection class IP67) characterized by passive cooling and very compact dimensions. Based on E.E.P.D.’s embedded NUC™ PROFIVE® single board computers, a wide range of performance levels are available, providing strong scalability in terms of both performance and cost. The system is low maintenance and suitable for 24/7 operation due to the robust design as well as the high-quality built-in components. The compact dimensions and closed design allow the installation in a wide range of applications and in harsh environments.

The SBCs and systems are developed and produced at E.E.P.D. in Germany. The main components and operating systems used in production are based on a “long-term roadmap” and ensure the long-term availability of the products.
